HainanFL.COM organized an English training program on May 6th at the Hainan Research Academy of Environmental Sciences(HRAES), based on the specific requirements of the Research Academy. Emphasizing efficient output to ensure optimal learning outcomes, this tailor-made training program aims to improve related tech talents’ English and their cross-cultural communication skills, and to develop a specialist team with high level of proficiency in English.
The training venue was packed with participants including tech personnel and English enthusiasts from various departments of HRAES. When delivering the opening speech, Deputy Dean Wu Xiaochen emphasized that the current period was crucial for Hainan Province to step up its preparations for the independent customs operation throughout the Free Trade Port. He encouraged the attendees to fully understand the new requirements under the new circumstances and to improve their English proficiency. He also believed that new impetus could be added to the international development of HRAES by strengthening its foreign exchange and service capabilities. In addition, both Dean Xing Qiao and Vice Dean Wang Licheng participated in the program and studied alongside others.
"How can we translate this sentence into English?” “Is the word-by-word translation correct?" "Picky people pick Peter Pan Peanut Butter." Zhao Le, an English trainer from HainanFL.COM, led a unique oral English class and talked about the impact of cultural differences between the East and West on language use. Teaching humorously, Mr. Zhao fully engaged the participants, and created a relaxing and lively atmosphere, which allowed them to speak English confidently.
Mr. Zhao incorporated little games such as Tongue Twister and Simon Says into the program, while explaining the phonetic characteristics of English. This approach enabled participants to learn pronunciation skills and improve their English listening abilities in arelaxed and enjoyable environment. During the "Draw and Guess" segment, Mr. Zhao helped them expand their specialized vocabulary through analysis and explanation, and guided them to think about how to use the words they knew to express their views.
The venue was filled with cheers and applause as attendees were enthusiastic and actively worked together to achieve success. After a highly competitive contest, "The Wings of Hope" team emerged as the winner!
Although the journey ahead may be long and arduous, with sustained actions, we will eventually reach our destination. HainanFL.COM will make joint efforts with HRAES to make English training a regular practice for the tech talents, to contribute to the preparations for the independent customs operation of the Free Trade Port, and to build a beautiful Hainan.
