A Foreign Language Training Course for Exit-Entry Administrative Police Officers in Hainan Province was Successfully Held

A five-day English training for the police officials of Hainan Exit and Entry Administration Detachment, has reached its end at Hainan Foreign Languages on the 11th of November 2022. The language training organized by Hainan Provincial Public Security Department for the police who are involved in foreign-related affairs, synchronizes with the spirit drawn from the 20th National Congress of the CPC and the direction pointed out by Xi Jinping regarding ‘building a globally influential free trade port with Chinese characteristics, making Hainan a paradigm of China’s reforms and opening up in new era’, and act in line with the plans, ‘Civil Foreign Languages Enhancement Plan’ and ‘Public Officials’ Foreign Languages Enhancement Plan’ issued by Hainan Provincial Party Committee and Hainan Provincial Government. With the assistance of HNFL, the training has achieved a positive outcome.

To ensure a quality outcome of the training and abide by the epidemic prevention policies, a closs-off management is implemented during the training. In the first class of the training, Chen Heliang, the first-level director of the Education and Training Department of the Political Department of Hainan Provincial Public Security Bureau puts forward three requirements for the trainees:

1.Recognizing the importance of this training as it is held in the context of the heavy tasks of various tasks, and demonstrates the importance of foreign language learning to improve the ability of public security police to communicate with foreign countries, manage and provide services.

2. It is important to complete learning tasks with high quality while complying with the requirements of pandemic prevention and control.

3.Strictly abiding by the training discipline. Do not be late or leave early, and strictly abide by the six iron rules and prohibitions.

HNFL invited Professor Xie Bangxiu from the Department of International Police Affairs of the Hubei University of Police to be the lecturer. By using the examination app designed by HNFL, professor Xie conducted a placement test before training and a learning effect assessment after training. Through the examination for three police departments that are involved in foreign-related affairs, HNFL, to some extent, has solidified the training system in police’s foreign-related affairs and optimized the examination system.   

The training course was endorsed by the Education and Training Department of the Political Department of the Hainan Public Security Department and hosted by HNFL. The HNFL team provided excellent educational services and teaching management for the whole course.
